Noah is the heart of the Monster Summer story — a brave and resourceful teen who finds himself in the middle of a supernatural storm when his summer plans take a dark turn. Despite his age, Noah leads his friends with determination, trying to make sense of the ancient mystery they've unearthed. Intelligent and protective, he's driven by a need to prove himself, especially after a recent family tragedy. As monsters awaken, so does Noah's courage.
Gene Carruthers

Gene is a grizzled, retired detective who seems like he's seen it all — until this summer. Haunted by the demons of his past (some literal), Gene reluctantly joins the kids' fight against the creatures stirring beneath the surface. He becomes a mentor figure to Noah, offering wisdom, grit, and firepower when it counts. He’s not here for campfire songs — he’s here to end this thing.

Eugene is Noah’s witty, nerdy best friend — equal parts comic relief and technical genius. He’s the one decoding ancient symbols, building gadgets out of junk, and panicking just enough to be relatable. But when push comes to shove, Eugene shows his bravery in the face of real monsters.

Sammy is bold, loyal, and never without a plan — even if it’s a reckless one. She’s the group’s emotional core, pushing everyone to stick together even as the horror escalates. Ben’s the skeptic of the group — sarcastic, skeptical, and slow to believe in monsters... until he meets one. He plays it cool, but he’s deeply protective of his friends. Once convinced, he becomes one of the most reliable allies in their fight.
Miss Halverson
Played by: Lorraine Bracco
Miss Halverson is the town’s mysterious librarian who knows far more than she lets on. She's been watching the signs for years and may be the only adult who understands the truth of what’s awakening. Wise, sharp, and slightly unsettling, she guides the kids when no one else will.
