ABOUT MICHAEL

Michael Watkins is an attorney and executive whose experience advising investors, founders, and companies on complex transactions has positioned him at the intersection of law, finance, and business strategy.

After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 2022, Michael joined the corporate practice at Jones Day before continuing his practice at Foley & Lardner LLP. There, he advised public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors on corporate governance, fund formation and investment, and domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

While at Georgetown Law, Michael served with the United States Department of Justice's Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section, contributing to matters involving complex federal criminal enforcement and investigative strategy. He earned his bachelor's degree from Ave Maria University in 2014.

Before beginning his legal career, Michael served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2015 to 2019. His military service was deeply formative, instilling the leadership, discipline, and operational judgment that continue to shape his approach to advising organizations, building teams, and navigating complex challenges.

Michael is also committed to serving mission-driven organizations. He has more than four years of nonprofit board experience, including service on the board of Regina Caeli Academy, a national homeschool hybrid organization. He also serves as a Director of the Michigan Chapter of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, supporting initiatives that preserve and promote one of the world's most significant collections of religious and cultural heritage.

Drawing on experience across military service, elite legal practice, and nonprofit leadership, Michael brings a disciplined, strategic perspective to helping organizations navigate complex opportunities and create lasting value.
