ABOUT MICHAEL

Michael Watkins is an attorney and executive with a background in corporate law, finance, and business strategy. As General Counsel at Novo Inspire Studios, he brings experience advising investors, founders, and companies on complex transactions and strategic business matters.

A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Michael began his legal career at Jones Day before continuing his practice at Foley & Lardner LLP. His work has included advising public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors on corporate governance, fund formation and investment, and domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. His experience across these areas provides a foundation for navigating complex business transactions, evaluating legal and commercial considerations, and supporting strategic business objectives.

While at Georgetown Law, Michael also served with the United States Department of Justice, contributing to matters involving complex federal criminal enforcement and investigative strategy. He earned his bachelor's degree from Ave Maria University in 2014.

Prior to his legal career, Michael served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2015 to 2019. He also has more than four years of nonprofit board experience, including service with Regina Caeli Academy and the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums.
